"Jenny" talks about child abuse, a situation that unfortunately a lot of children suffer. Maybe it's the strangest song in the album, but maybe it's at the same time the one that has a most intense meaning.
lyrics
Jenny was a little girl,
blissful childhood, sweety pearl,
but she had a secret to hide from us.
She wonders what is wrong,
what is right, if life's long,
but nobody knows to whom she belongs.
When she arrived early at home,
daddy played with her alone,
shutting up the door, hurting her bones.
And she cried, and she cried,
And she cried, and she cried,
thousands of hours before dying.
And she lied, and she lied,
And she lied, and she lied,
thousands of times before dying.
Friday night, her ghost is here,
anymore she'll feel the fear
dancing with her old snake,
sensual movements, bloody shakes.
Every day she will appear,
in the room of those tears,
looking for an answer to the pain.
And a why, and a why,
and a why, and a why,
she needs a why for such a wild life.
And she's right, and she's right,
and she's right, and she's right,
she'll take revenge when the moon is bright.
Friday night, her ghost is here,
anymore she'll feel the fear
dancing with her old snake,
sensual movements, bloody shakes.
